![]() Banner of command macro pushing was removed. Ohmwrecker tower dives are being removed. Niche playstyles such as guerilla splitpushing with Zz'Rot is being removed. It feels like Riot, for a few season now, has just tried to push pure champion-vs-champion combat as the only thing that matters in League. That's fine, since League is a PvP game, but at it's core, I believe Riot has forgotten what League is: a tower defense MOBA. "It feels like theres too much FIGHT win ONLY IF YOU WIN FIGHT" There's 0 emphasis anymore on playing the map. It feels like all they want players to do in game is just group up and fight over and over. ![]() This is fine, but the problem is that they leave almost no room for macro-based gameplay anymore. It feels like for the last several seasons, Riot has been pushing the game towards a skirmish/teamfight ONLY playstyle. ![]() Riot is removing Zz'Rot portal from the game in Season 10. We may revisit this type of strategic item in the future, but it would require more risk for the champion user to apply tower pressure. This item has led to split push strategies that don’t involve enough champion interaction.
